Tegucigalpa is the capital city of Honduras. It is commonly abbreviated to simply Tegus, and has the nickname of the Silver Mountain. It was founded by the Spanish and retains many of its colonial charms today.
Situated in the southern-central highland region, it sits in a valley and is surrounded by soaring mountains. Within, or near to, Tegucigalpa City Center, there are many things to do and see.
