Olbia is located in the north east of the Italian island of Sardinia. It is in the Gallura sub-region, which is known for its many natural features such as national parks, rugged coastlines and mountainous areas. It also has a number of tourist destinations, which are centred on Olbia’s sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. There have been people living in the area for thousands of years and you can go and see some of its history in the National Archaeology Museum. If you wish to tour around the area, there are good road connections to Nuoro and Cagliari via the SS131 and also national roads to take you to Sassari, Tempio Pausania and Palau.
