Bratislava is both the largest city in Slovakia and also the capital city of the country. The city lies in the southwest of the country nestled in between the Danube and the Morava rivers. The city has had a number of different national influences over the years that have all had an impact on the buildings and history of the city.

The city is huge so it is a good idea to hire a car through VIP cars in order to get around. It is worth touring the city as there is an interesting mixture of medieval towers and modern architecture. The Old Town contains some of the most interesting buildings from the medieval period including the Michael’s Gate, one of the town’s oldest buildings, and nearby is Europe’s narrowest house.
