Barcelona's main train station is Barcelona Sants or the Estación de Sants. Owned and operated by Adif, this railway station is one of Barcelona's most important transport hubs and serves as an intercity station connecting the city to many domestic as well as international destinations. This railway station also has an international bus station ans metro located adjacent to it bearing the same name. Built in the 1970's this railway station has a very modern feel to it and has a four star hotel occupying most of its upper floors.
Estación de Sants connects Barcelona with Madrid through the High speed Ave railway line and to France through the high speed TGV services. This railway station is mainly used by the Avant, Alvia, Euromed, Alaris, and Talgo trains which connect it to a number of cities including Montpelier, Madrid, Seville, Badajoz, Alicante and Vigo
