A big city in the south west of England, Bristol is a large centre of education, employment and culture. It was a major seaport, and interestingly, is one of the warmest cities in the UK. The historically important Seven Stars public house is still standing; this is where abolitionist Thomas Clarkson collected information about, and worked to end, the slave trade.
The white-looking Bristol cathedral is a great place to visit when in the city, as is the Bristol Industrial Museum. The artsy See No Evil street event is held in Bristol, as is a big food festival. Visitors also come to Bristol to see the different architectural styles all over the city, historic Tudor Mansions, Kings Weston House, Cabot Tower and a plethora of nice churches, amongst other places. There are also great rental car options to choose from when you book with VIP Cars.
