Peoria Airport, officially known as the General Wayne A Downing Peoria International Airport, is a joint public-military airport serving the Peoria Metropolitan Area in Illinois. Located 7 km’s west of the central business district of Peoria, this airport is situated at the village Bartonville, and is owned by the Metropolitan Airport Authority of Peoria. This airport is used for commercial flights, general aviation as well as military flights and serves as a base for the Peoria National Air Guard.

Peoria International Airport is served by a number of low cost airlines such as Allegiant Air, American Eagle, Chautauqua Airlines, ExpressJet, Pinnacle Airlines, and SkyWest Airlines which connect it to destinations such as Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Denver, Minneapolis and Punta Gorda. It also has a few modern amenities in it such as Wi-Fi, ATM machines and a dining area.
