Yorkville is a city and seat of the Kendall County in the US state of Illinois. This city was first settled in the early nineteenth century on the Fox River, which still runs through this city. The Central Business District of this town is located towards the south of the Kendall River and is the location for most of the city’s historic homes. Yorkville has many historical attractions for travelers to visit. The Chapel on the Green is the oldest church in Illinois and a major landmark here. One can also visit the Kendall County Courthouse which is built in Italianate style and has been added to the National Register of Historical Places. Another popular attraction for families and children is the Raging Waves Waterpark, which claims to be the largest Waterpark in the state.
