Franklin is a city in Johnson County in the US state of Indiana. It was named after Benjamin Frabklin. Franklin Park is the oldest park in the Plainfields area. Sitting on the corner of Lincoln Street and Mill Street, it was founded in 1935. As well as providing a green and leafy place in the town with many trees, it also has tennis courts, a skateboard park, a children’s play area, shelter houses, a volleyball pit, ball diamonds, exercise areas, stores, and horseshoe pits.
